The existing main house and the unique parkland should not be affected by the new guest house. For that reason the new building is completely embedded. The only visible element will be the south east facade.
The protruding terrace base adopts the materials, pale natural stone, of the main building. All outer walls are in impermeable exposed concrete. The structure and color of the concrete should adopt the structure of the existing granite boulders. In warm contrast to this, the inner walls are like a piece of furniture in wooden paneels. The south-east facade is thought in room high wood-glas elements.
As a basic principle all preliminary building works are finished works. All chosen materials are characterized by plain simplicity. In the further process of aging the colours become equal.
