The residential building at Zürcherstrasse 26 was constructed as part of a housing estate during the period 1914-1926 and is still testament to domestic culture in Rapperswil after the First World War.
The building was planned as a three-family building for the master plasterer Wolfgang Schratz. The pre-construction drawings correspond for the most part with the building’s current condition.
Alongside the conversion of the previously unused attic space, the roof and the facades have been renovated in line with the principles of architectural preservation.
